Eldritch Ass Kicking is now available in PDF.
It’s an older version of the PDF, but the text is the same. You will notice some stylistic differences here and there… and a few minor corrections that needed to happen. It’s good looking though and gets you into the game for $10 less than the softcover.
It’s available right now on the Mystic Ages store. Get it.
Oh yeah. If you buy the softcover, I’ll toss you a free copy of the PDF too.
Eldritch Ass Kicking is still available!
The roleplaying game of “arcane action and old men with sticks” is now available direct from Mystic Ages Publishing. EAK is a fast, furious, and hilarious game where you play power hungry wizards on a quest to reclaim the world they once destroyed. Using a couple of D10s, you’ll chew your way through insanely funny magickal battles, form alliances and cabals with friends, and discover untold magickal power.
Stock is going fast, so if you want to pick up a fresh copy, fly (like a bad ass spellcaster) over to Mystic Ages’ new store, blast the buttons with your arcane power, and pay instantly as your fellow wizards’ snarl. (We use Paypal.)

The new game system that is going to drive Foreign Element, Cleaners, Extinction, and Journey to Cannibal Island is coming together. You can download the current draft of it here:
mysticages.com/marksystem-final.pdf
I’ve been working on it for a bit. It takes some of my elements from both EAK & Barbarians Versus. But really, I had different design goals altogether. I wanted fast and flexible, encouraging strong roleplaying. But I really wanted a dice element that gave power to players. Bonus dice can be spent immediately to raise attributes, create new marks (descriptive abilities), cause double damage, or replenish dice pools. It’s a furious and tight little engine.

It’s looking better and better.

The cool news is that the store works - you can order Eldritch Ass Kicking for your very own right now. More on that later.
I was pretty stoked to see that Paizo Publishing has put out a free copy of their Pathfinder RPG. It’s based off of the D&D 3.5 ruleset and will work at keeping some compatibility with D&D 3.5 in the midst of D&D 4 coming out. Yeah, it’s a wait and see kind of thing right now, but Pathfinder looks good. It looks like they are trying to smooth out some of those kinks in D&D 3.5 and make characters a little more powerful.
Early bonuses in the rules: different experience level ranges for slow or fast campaigns, 1st level characters that are a bit more dangerous, and easy skills. I dig it so far.
You can dowload a copy here: paizo.com/pathfinderRPG
Note: This site has been slow in starting up, but I’ll have more in a month or two.

Christmas has already pretty much come and gone.
If you are looking for Christmas-themed games in anticipation of next year or to round out your holiday spirit, feel free to grab a copy of my game, Santa’s Little Helpers. It’s a wild action roleplaying game of super spy elfen badassry. I’ve got a short story worked out for the game that should see inclusion sometime next year.
Also, I noticed the fine folks of Columbia Games (who do the old fashioned but stout Harn fantasy rpg) have released a free Harnic Christmas download. Zordario Productions has also tossed out a free Christmas Fantasy Elves portrait, which might be useful to you. Evil Hat Productions have also tossed up a wicked-looking Spirit of the Season download - pulp adventure and Christmas sound like matches made in heaven.
Free stuff is good. Happy Holidays.
